After two years of research, refinement, and disciplined design exploration, EVIS today unveils its latest ergonomic leather chair, created in collaboration with designer Henrik Steinwehr.
The chair represents a meticulous development journey spanning 354 sketches and 34 functional prototypes, with each iteration refining posture support, material interaction, and long-term sitting comfort. The collaboration brings together EVIS’ ergonomic engineering expertise with Steinwehr’s signature approach to purposeful, human-centric design.
“This project was never about adding features for the sake of complexity,” said Henrik Steinwehr. “It was about understanding how the body moves, rests, and recovers during long hours of work—and shaping a chair that responds intuitively to that reality.”
Crafted with premium leather and precision-engineered components, the chair features height-adjustable head support, adaptive lumbar control, a multi-position recline lock, and a certified Class-3 gas lift—ensuring stability, durability, and effortless adjustment throughout the workday. Subtle detailing, silent casters, and a refined base complete a design that is both visually restrained and functionally advanced.
